We adopted our first puppy from this shelter. Stella, Cassie and Jackie were all very supportive, friendly and helpful! They were able to supply all the necessary information about the puppy to keep us informed about what is to be expected during the first few days with her and the best way to proceed with her training, feeding, etc. Although the virtual home visit and dog interview may seem as a hassle to some, it is important to remember that this shelter really cares about their dogs and are not just giving them away to anyone. They want to ensure a safe and healthy environment for each dog they find a home for. I would recommend this shelter to anyone looking to save a life today!

Family rescue was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! They were super efficient and got us through our application in no time. They were extremely thorough in making sure we were the right people for a pup and in finding the best pup for us. Everyone we talked to including Stella, Cassie, and Kristen were super friendly and helpful. They made the process smooth and simple. They really prepared us for our pup and everything we needed to be ready to have her. I highly recommend Family rescue to anyone in the area looking to adopt!!

Family rescue was amazing! We adopted our dog from them last week and from the beginning, they were professional and extremely kind. We traveled from Upstate New York and they were very accommodating with the meet and greet time with our family and our current dog. Everyone I came in contact with was open and addressed all of our questions. I can’t say enough good things about Family Rescue ! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to add a new pup to their family.
This was an unforgettable experience. I fostered two pups and they are hands-on about everything. They genuinely care for the animal and will guide you on how to help the rescued dog. If you are looking to foster or adopt, try them. They are open and honest. And you will not face any hurdle, except maybe some poop accidents in the beginning. Haha!
Our experience with Happy dog has been outstanding. In fact, we had such a great experience with happy dogs we adopted a second rescue from them. Stella and her team demonstrate the utmost professionalism. They are careful about vetting potential adopters to ensure a "good fit," the rescues are evaluated by veterinarians to make certain the dogs are healthy, or provided any necessary treatment, and their fosters have an excellent understanding of the personalities and temperament of the dogs they are caring for as they await their fur-ever homes. We couldn't be happier with our experience, and we always recommend this wonderful organization!
We met and adopted our new puppy Swiss from happy dogs City. From the application process to the meet and greet was smooth and I was never left guessing what would happen next in the process. Very responsive and thorough. The screening process was extensive and they had answers for every question/concern. Cassie, Kristin, Stella and Swiss’ fosters were amazing and truly care about saving those pups! Check them out- they are amazing!

Other than North Shore I will never want a dog from another place. They truly love and care for these animals until they find a home. I love them!
